Talk: Current State of Firefox 3

Seth Spitzer will be speaking on the current state of Firefox 3, the improvements being made for end users, web application and content developers, and add-on (extension) authors. Seth will also be talking about the various ways get involved with Mozilla project.

Talk: Wireless Meshing

This talk will give a brief introduction into the ideas of wireless mesh
networking, explaining how hundreds of routers can organize themselves in a
city wide network. We will present the technologies deployed in Berlin, its
limitations and outline the problems we faced which ultimately led to the
decission to develop our own protocol. We will show why B.A.T.M.A.N . is far
more resource effective than its predecessors, how the builtin gateway
tunneling helps stablilising your internet connection, prevents IP spoofing
and can even negotiate automatic encryption. The next stage " B.A.T.M.A.N.
advanced" (the layer 2 implemention of the B.A.T.M.A.N. routing algorithm)
goes even further and introduces the next generation of path discovery by
hooking deep into the wlan hardware.

Talk: Asynase - The missing links between servers and clients.

As API-based web services seems to be the way to go, API-based web app development is still in it's early age. Asynapse comes in the way tring to provide a bridge between servers and clients, specifially, javascript. It'll extend the ability of javascript language to be more easily interactive with server.
