姜天戩是自然輸入法的核心開發者，也是「開放香草」這套開放原始碼輸入法框架的核心開發成員之一，專精於全文搜尋引 擎、自然語言處理、計算語言學以及社群經營，有超過十年的程式設計經驗，並長期關注於各項文化議題與社群議題。他同時也是 2007 年維基年會黑客日和 2007 年台灣黑客松的協調人。
